Bleaching / Whitening - Our doctors offer cosmetic procedures to lighten teeth using either an at home custom made tray system or the one hour ABC extreme makeover ZOOM 2 bleaching system done in our office.

Invisalign / Invisible Braces - Our dentists are certified by Invisalign to give you the perfect smile without the uncomfortable metal braces. It is a clear invisible tray system that moves your teeth in small increments until your teeth are perfectly straight.

Veneers - Our office is experienced in designing thin, custom-made shells of porcelain that are bonded directly to the front side of natural teeth to improve their appearance – for example, to replace lost tooth structure, close spaces, straighten teeth or change color and/or shape.

Digital X-rays - Our dental team uses the digital x-ray method, a technician glides a small sensor around inside a patient's mouth and the images instantly pop up on a computer screen in the exam room. Digital radiography systems produce significantly less radiation than traditional X-rays.

Crowns and Bridges - Our doctors are experienced and skillful in preparing and customizing crowns, also known as caps, which are excellent for teeth that are damaged or decayed. Porcelain crowns fit over damaged teeth, restoring their strength, health, and beauty. Crowns can be matched to your natural tooth color so the fact that you have had dental work is easily concealed. A bridge is made to replace one or more missing teeth. Bridges can be supported by natural teeth or implants. A traditional bridge is made by creating a crown for each tooth on both sides of the space and placing a false tooth between the crowns.

Implants - Our office works with the oral surgeon and our doctors are skillful in completing the implant process. An implant is an artificial tooth roots that are placed into and fuse with the bone of the jaw. They can be used to replace teeth or to support and retain dentures. The placement is generally so simple as to be inconsequential. In areas where bone is lacking to support these implants, we now have ingenious and effective techniques to add bone. Teeth can be placed on the implants usually after four months; however, some of the newer systems that we have researched may be restored in as quickly as eight weeks.

Root Canal Therapy - Our doctors are qualified and experienced in (endodontic therapy) the treatment of a tooth having a damaged pulp or infection at the tip of the root. Root Canal Therapy usually includes completely removing the pulp, sterilizing the pulp chamber and root canals, and filling these spaces with a sealing material.

Tooth Colored Composite Fillings - Drs Thomas and Shirley Mercer restore teeth with tooth colored fillings. The State of California has warned us that silver amalgam alloy fillings contain 43-54% mercury and is unhealthy for our bodies. Our office is proud to provide our patients with tooth colored composite fillings which are bonded to your tooth for added strength, esthetics, and luster.

Dentures and Partials - Our doctors create a custom made removable appliance replacing missing natural teeth and surrounding tissues. There are two types of dentures available -- complete and partial. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

Extractions - removal of a tooth.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation - Our office offers Nitrous Oxide, also known as laughing gas. It is administered to our patients who are anxious and fearful helping them to relax and calm them during dental procedures.

Laser Dentistry - Our doctors are one of the first to use the Waterlase System. This system allows the doctors to do white fillings and other gum procedures with no drill, anesthetic or injections.

TMJ Treatment - Drs Thomas and Shirley Mercer are experienced in the treatment of TMJ problems. We have the NTI Tension Suppression Appliances that help relieve the pain associated with the joints and jaw, and reducing the pressure causing headaches.

Mouth Guards / Night guards - Our office makes custom fit guards for our patients. Whether you are an athlete or casual sports participant, you should wear a mouth guard to protect your teeth. If you grind your teeth while you sleep, a night guard will help reduce symptoms of TMJ. We custom make mouth guards in both soft and hard materials.

Periodontics - Our office helps treat and prevent Periodontal disease by providing skilled hygienists who are experienced in deep scale cleanings. We offer Arestin, a time released antibiotic dispensed into deep pockets to promote healing, and smaller pocket measurements. Our hygienists monitor each patient individually and set up a special treatment plan to keep their gums, and teeth as healthy as possible.

Pedodontics - Our dentists are trained to treat children from age three on up.

Many times the laser can be used to remove cavities which means no shots or drills. This allows the child to have a better dental experience and removes the fear factor of the dental office. We also have "laughing gas" for the fearful patients.

Zoom 2 - We also now use Zoom 2 Advanced Power which works faster and is stronger which means less time for the patient to be in the dental chair
